Christmas in Virginia 2008

We have been very fortunate to spend Christmas in Virginia this year. The kids made out, and Santa was gracious all around. We hope all of you had a great Holiday and a Blessed New Year.

P.S. We are a little late on our Christmas cards, so they are on their way!

Enjoy our Christmas pics on Shutterfly.

We have moved to VIrginia!!!!

Hello all, we have finally made another move. Not a permanent move yet but as soon as we hear from the Coast Guard, we will post our whereabouts.

Lola's First Dance Recital

Lola has been taking dance/ballet since September and after 3 months of class, this is what we got. Funny, we really thought she was going to be shy and reserved. See if you can find her in this video.

Chip's School Play 2008

Chip had a Christmas Play at school this year where they had to dress up like bears. He was not too happy about the costume but loved the singing. Enjoy!!!

Chip's School Christmas Show

Thanksgiving 2008

The Philyaw family spent Thanksgiving in Fresno California this year with Billy's mom and family. It was a very long drive but worth it in the end. Everyone got to meet Finnley and we had the opportunity to have some good quality fun!!! Enjoy our park pictures at Shutterfly.

Halloween 2008

We were released from the hospital on Friday October 31, 2008. So to say the least we still had to make sure everyone was dressed and ready for trick or treat. Billy and Chip went to a Halloween Party and then came back home to pass out candy. Lola, Finnley and I stayed home and passed out candy to all the neighborhood kids. Chip was a Jedi, Anniken Skywalker and Lola was a Duck. Both looked really cute, oh and Finnley was a Pumpkin. We were so tired and busy that night, but loved every second of it. Enjoy our Halloween pics at Shutterfly.

Baby Finnley Marie is Born!! Thank Goodness!!!

Hello family and friends. I know you all were expecting pictures right away, but....well having three children and packing an entire household is a little crazy. Let me start from the beginning. 3 weeks prior to Finnley's arrival, Billy and I decided that it would be beneficial  to pack the entire house top to bottom and get ready for a move in December. Crazy, I know! But we are almost complete and no accidents yet. Anyway, So I went in last week for my 39 week check up and Dr. Silva informed me that I had gone from 31/2 cent. dilated back to 1 1/2. Ah what, I did not even know that could happen, but it can. So as I began to sulk, my doc said hey your 39 weeks do you want to be induced. Of course I said "ah, hell yeah". So he said okay we will see you Thursday morning October 30 at 5am for a baby. It was so easy it was scary. So 5am came early Thursday morning and Billy and I were excited and nervous all in one. They broke my water at 9am and Finnley popped out at 10:55am. It was actually the fastest delivery of any of my others and the nurse was very surprised it all happened that soon. She came out weighing 7 pounds 12 ounces and 20 1/2 inches long. Much smaller then we thought she would be but beautiful as ever. I took me a couple of hours to name her but Finnley is what fit.
She is a really good baby, doing the newborn thing of eating, sleeping and pooping. The kids are great with her, of course William took on the roll of Big Brother again, no problem. He loves her and comforts her and wants to kiss her all the time. Lola is really taking it all in better then I thought she would. She is very motherly, wanting to be right there when I change diapers or nurse. Which is a whole new experience for her. She is amazed of the whole boob thing. She went to her Dad the other night and said, "Dad, let me eat your boob." It was pretty hilarious. But over all they are both doing great accepting Finnley into our family.
Billy is doing awesome. Taking the whole new Dad thing seriously, if you get a chance ask him about the old lady at Walmart incident.
We are finally full and happy. Our family fees complete like everyone that is supposed to be here is and we are very grateful and blessed with everyday and every moment. Take a look at some the pics at Shutterfly, from the hospital of Finnley and the kids, The big one, that is me, heheheheheh. We appreciate all the support, prayers and love during the pregnancy and cannot wait to introduce Finnley Marie to all of you.

Billy's Change of Command

Billy had an awesome morning at the Hanger at Fort Huachuca where he passed on the responsibility of Command. He was very relieved but very sad to see his soldiers passed on to another commander. His speech was awesome.

Car Washing Day for Lola!!!

I had to put this on here, Lola washed her car one day and it seriously took her like 1 hour to do. It was pretty funny. Enjoy!!!

Shutterfly Pics of Lola!!!

Chip's First Football Game

Chip had his first football game on Saturday in Nogales. He did great though, they lost by 1 touchdown but really did a great job. He is on the Eagles. See if you can find him.

Check out the rest of the Eagles on Shutterfly.

Surgery went well

Chip's surgery went well, he was in it for about 45 min. And took it all like a champ. He didn't even cry when they put the IV in. He was very drowsy coming out of surgery but really looked good. The doctor said that his tonsils and adnoids looked really really bad. And that is probably why he had so many issues with them. We are just glad it is all done and he is doing well. He seems to be healing okay too, but I guess with a diet of ice cream, popscicles, yogurt and pudding, how could you not heal well. Lola is still not sure what has happened but totally thinks that just because Chip is living off of ice cream, she should too. Crazy thing!!! Thank you to all of you who had us in your prayers, xoxoxoxoxo

Gone for 6 1/2 weeks

Sorry friends and family, we were out of town to Virginia Beach for the whole month of July and part of August for vacation. We had a great time and had the opportunity to see and visit lots of family and friends. I had a small accident that landed me in the hospital for 4 days, (basically, I passed out in the airport, fell and ended up going into labor with a placenta abbruption.) Everything is okay now, and the baby is doing good. Chip had the opportunity to participate in a Surf camp where he learned all the basics and then some from some pretty amazing teachers. Let's just say he is hooked now and cannot wait to get back in the water. He also got to go to Bible camp, the same one Rachel and I attended when we were kids. After 4 days of no teeth brushing, drinking sweet tea at every meal and not having mom and dad around Chip decided camp was his favorite part of vacation. Imagine that right!!!  Lola kind of went with the flow while we were there, just enjoying Nana and Papa's attention and all of her new friends. Let's just say we all had a great time but like all great things they had to come to an end when we had to travel back to AZ so Chip could start 1st grade. Check out our Vacation photos using the Shutterfly link. (I will warn you, there are a lot of pictures!!!)

One last thing, william started 1st grade two weeks ago and absolutely loves his teacher. She is really up his alley.  He is playing Soccer and Football this fall and I guess we will see which one he sticks with.(Mom is voting for Soccer) Lola is trying to get used to attention from me and not everyone else under the sun. Hopefully she will start Dancenastics shortly, to give us both a break. Billy is doing great. He is trying to get used to not being a bachelor again, and is really looking forward to his change of command in September. As for me, I am just trucking along, counting down the days till baby number 3 comes. According to my calendar, 8 weeks and counting. We will keep you posted on that as it comes.

The Army's 233rd B-day Celebration at Fort Huachuca

The army had its 233rd b-day celebration on friday and the Philyaw family helped celebrate it by eating steak and crab at the DFAC and attending the parade and final formation that afternoon. It was kinda cool even though there were so many people we couldn't even find daddy. But we got some pics of the event. See if you can find him!!!

British Soccer Camp

Ha, I told you all i could keep up with this. Well this week we have been completely distracted down by British Soccer Camp. Everyday for three hours with coaches from England and Britain and sorts of places that come and teach the kids soccer skills. We have had a lot of fun with it. Even Lola and i have had fun watching all the kiddos play. They do some crazy games and really keep the kids involved and entertain. Take a look at our Camp pics for some insights.

Hello Again from our Family!!!!

Hello family and friends,
I am updating our new blog and sending out for all of you to view. Keep it in your favorites or on your desktop. We will have new pics and updated info. hopefully 2-3 times a month.

Our family now just got back from an awesome trip to San Diego, we visited Sea World and Lego Land, which both kids absolutely loved. We stayed at Coronado Naval Lodge which is absolutely beautiful. Take a look at our San Diego pictures to see our beach babes.
Chip also graduated Kindergarten and received a certificate and medal for reading 263 books all by himself. He is so ready for First grade and is already counting down the days. Look at our pics of graduation.
He has started tennis camp, which he really loves. His class is all girls, but he says that is okay because he can flirt with them all and no other boys can. He starts soccer camp next week. I am really trying to do all I can to keep them busy.
Lola is basically tagging along with her big brother. She loves watching him at all his events and she does a great job cheering him on. She is getting so big and potty training has began. 3 poops in the potty and 2 peepees is a big step for us.
Billy is continuing his command here at Fort Huachuca. Enjoying his family and trying to stay involved with all their activities.
And last but not least, baby number 3 is doing great and we have been told it is a girl.......I guess we will see. Chip is still convinced it is a boy. I am 18 weeks along and due Nov. 6, 2008. Hopefully it comes, Oct. 20, 2008. I kinda like that date.
Other then that we are all doing well and cannot wait for vacation in July to VA........YEAH!!!!!
